Privacy Policy

The short version: the images and documents you use with our tools never leave your device. This page explains the limited information that is collected when you visit the site, and the choices you have.

Last updated:

1. Who we are

KBSnap (“we”, “us”) operates the website kbsnap.com. You can reach us at contact@sheriq.site with any privacy question.

2. Files you process with our tools

Every tool on this site – including image compression, resizing, conversion, signature and passport-photo tools, and all PDF tools – runs entirely inside your web browser. When you select a file, it is read and processed on your own device using JavaScript. Your files are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we have no way to see, store or recover them.

Processed results exist only in your browser’s memory until you download them or close the page. Some tools download additional program code (for example, the PDF engine or the HEIC photo decoder) from our own domain the first time you use them; this only transfers code to you, never your files to us.

3. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, some technical information is processed when you visit:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, referring page and time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept for a limited time.
  • Analytics. If enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies to collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser. It does not receive your files.
  • Preferences. We store your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.

4. Advertising and cookies

This site is free because it shows advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners act as third-party vendors and use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud.

Consent. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, through a consent message provided by Google’s certified consent management platform. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy/cookie link shown by that message. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools themselves keep working without cookies.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

We rely on your consent for personalised advertising and analytics cookies, and on our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the website for server logs and essential functions.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Limited technical data is processed by service providers that help us run the site – our web host, Google (AdSense and, if enabled, Analytics) – under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information if required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we don’t run user accounts or receive your files, we generally hold no personal data that identifies you. For data held by Google, use the links above or your Google account settings. To make a request to us, email contact@sheriq.site.

8. Children

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because files are processed locally, the most sensitive data – your documents and photos – is never transmitted at all. Please keep your device and browser up to date.

10. Links to other websites

Our pages may link to official sources such as government passport websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.

12. Contact
